Typically full-bridge (FB) converter is used as DC-DC converters for ICT equipment such as routers or servers,. FB converter has essential problem which occurs surge voltage associated with the recovery phenomenon of secondary-side diode. Attaching snubber circuit is the poplar solution, but the circuit occurs another problem such as increasing of the size of circuit and degradation of power efficiency. Therefore, in this paper, by optimizing the operation of the digital control using the dsPIC that can be programmable control, for improving the power efficiency and suppressing the surge voltage without using a snubber circuit. By considering the reduction method of the loss and the high-frequency noise of the primary-side switch in full-bridge converter removal of the output inductor. The experimental results are shown using the evaluation board experiment, output 54V, in the load range of 1.85A to 16.7A.
