In Embedded systems, tendency of using COTS devices is increasing to meet the time to market pressure as well as to improve the productivity. Nowadays, multicore systems are deployed in many embedded systems. But effective power management for multicore systems is crucial. In proposed work, a soft core processor is designed by using various COTS(Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) devices like UART, I2C, RAM, ROM, ALU etc. By combining all the sub-modules (COTS devices), the top module of processor is created. By using VHDL programming, two processor cores are designed in which data from one core is communicated with other in single program itself. Tools used for the proposed work are Xilinx ISE and Modelsim Simulator.
