Current Mexican government sites vary greatly in the level of website maturity and type of information included. This occurs in spite of legislation being enforced to attain transparency and diminish the amount of figure exposure the politicians try to ensure. This paper presents a ranking of the 32 Mexican state websites in which we evaluate the citizen experience by measuring amount of relevant content in the homepage, the number of online services offered, the simplicity in language, the accessibility issues and the level of interaction of citizens with its government departments. The ranking demonstrates that the maturity level of Mexican websites differs greatly from state to state, in spite of the government efforts to regulate and standardize websites content and politician's exposure through the website.
