This paper introduces a bidirectional isolated AC/DC converter for storage battery application with current space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) method. The converter characterizes high power factor, wide output voltage range, bidirectional power flow and galvanic isolation. Resonant reset is used to demagnetize the transformers for simplicity. The operation principle of the converter is presented together with simulation results in PLECS and experimental results based on a 2kW prototype.
