Internet of Things is becoming an important field of research, gaining more public attention along with the availability of Internet. The main aspect of this paper is to develop a system for providing remote access to home appliances, and security against mishaps when the user is not at home. The proposed system is cheaper and effective. It provides same aspects to the user that of expensive and well-known companies. The system is embedded with its own cloud database linked with the backend of an Android Application which communicates with the database and the packet which is sent to microcontroller to perform the desired action. The benefit of implementing cloud servers is accessibility with any existing networks such as 3G or 4G; means that the user can control his house or office from anywhere in the world. The active feedback from database provides periodic information to the user about the cost and time from how long the device is on. Switching existing system on Cloud enables easy access to home automation for the user by providing easy to use online services which runs on the backend of Android Phone. Open and standardized protocols are protected by the password for home automated devices further increase the convenience by offering more choice and freedom to the users.
