Electro-quasistatic problems involving nonlinear materials are solved using an explicit time integration scheme. With this Newton-Raphson iterations, as they are necessary in fully implicit time integration schemes, can be circumvented. However the resulting ordinary differential equation has a constant leading mass matrix and an iterative scheme with preconditioner can be used. This favours parallelism and is therefore implemented on a multi GPU system.
