We have been studying the survivals and declines of old-established companies. Particularly, we have revealed that many of time-honored companies have increased their sales by online shop business. However, we think that there are some issues. Old-established companies may have different ways of implementing e-business depending on types and the scales of business. There may be differences between Taiwan and Japan as well. In this report, we explained our theory of old-established companies such as how many of them (of over hundred years of history) globally exist in the first place, and in what types of business there are more of them. And then, we argued about the traditions and the innovations of the old-established companies in Japan and Taiwan, and not only the positive sides of e-business implementation, but also the issues of it.
