In practical power converter based circuits, voltage and current limits of power converters are inevitable. However, there is a lack of comprehensive investigation of steady state operating boundaries of HVDC systems with converter voltage and current limits. This paper proposes a modified algorithm based on current injection Newton-Raphson method. It is capable of solving the power flow of multi-infeed HVDC system with current and voltage limits of all power converters. A comparison between the proposed algorithm and conventional technique is presented. The proposed algorithm is validated and demonstrated its supreme important advantages for HVDC network analysis.
