A single phase induction motors is simple in construction, cheap in cost, reliable and easy to repair and maintain. Due to all these merits the single phase motor finds its application in household as vacuum cleaner, fans, washing machine, centrifugal pump, hair drier etc. But the problem with it is its low efficiency. In the proposed methodology the efficiency of a single phase induction motor can be substantially improved by increasing the stator stack length. By doing this one can get decreased value of copper loss and increased value of iron loss. Because effect of decreased copper loss is more, so the net loss decreases. As result of which the effectiveness of the single phase induction motor can be increased.
