In this experiment, we designed and tested a vibration sensing device. This vibration sensor has a flat-end fiber docking with a fiber tip. We used the self-made fiber melting and pulling equipment to make a fiber tip and use it to dock with the flat-end fiber, and then sealed them in a capillary tube. When the vibration source makes the fixing metal plate vibrate, the metal plate can drive the vibration sensor and let the fiber tip to vibrate with it, so that the intensity of the received light by the fiber tip will also vibrate. If we can detect the vibrating waveform, we can analyze the vibration frequency of the vibration source. The experimental results show that the self-made vibration sensing device using a fiber tip can successfully measure the vibration frequency of the driving sound wave.
