The acquisition of different imaging modalities represents an on-going process, since there is always coming up new imaging systems and consequently new modalities, leading us to multi-modality imaging. In this research, we are dealing with the generation of a single and unique 3D model, including three different images: Infrared images, 3D meshes (from a 3D scanning system), and MRI or CT images (medical anatomical images). This paper proposes a new methodology to generate 3D models involving all these imaging modalities, which we called it 3D THERMO SCAN. Therefore, as a result, it is illustrated the implementation of this new methodology to an asymptomatic volunteer, in order to prove that the technique is feasible. The final result obtained show the image fusion of all the imaging modalities involved, representing a potential clinical application in terms of helping diagnosis which involves more than one imaging modality which had been acquired at different situations.
