In this paper a novel design concept, notch-band UWB printed antenna, fed by Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) has been proposed. All the analysis has been carried out using IE3D simulator. The Bull Head antenna is designed using FR4 with thickness of 0.8mm and dielectric constant of 4.2. This paper demonstrates a band-notched UWB antenna which is having rejection characteristics at 3.7GHz and 5.5GHz. Thus limiting the interference caused by these two WiMAX and WLAN bands in UWB system. To obtain band-notch characteristics, some structural changes like insertion of horn shaped structure, equilateral triangle and rectangular slot in patch have been made in design. Result shows that this Bull Head antenna is having a reflection coefficient is meeting the standard value for 2.9GHz to 12GHz which is good for UWB applications. Good impedance matching has been obtained over the entire range of UWB. Other simulated results such as efficiency, current distribution and gain are also inquired, and are giving optimum values.
