In this paper, we propose a layered lossless video coding scheme based on the Slepian-Wolf (SW) theorem. Motion JPEG2000 is performed as the base layer coder for real-time streaming and a SW coder is used as the enhancement layer coder. The computation burden is shifted to the network side so this scheme achieves low-complexity encoding. The proposed SW coder significantly improves the prediction accuracy of Side Information (SI). In addition to accurate prediction, SW exploits Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) to improve lossless coding performance. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme gives higher coding performance than the existing JPEG2000 lossless mode.
