This paper describes a hybrid cascaded inverters, which can be applied to low power energy storage system. The working mode of the circuit and the dead-time effect are analyzed. Base on the traditional control mode, a new way is given to control the auxiliary capacitor voltage. In order to solve the problem that multilevel SPWM method take up to much system resources, this paper put forward a single carrier SPWM method, which can be implemented efficient for the inverter. To verify the feasibility of the system, a simulation model and a low power inverter was constructed and results are provided.
