Orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) is an effective method to reduce inter symbol interference in LTE systems. Doppler shift, however, leads to a loss of sub-channel orthogonality, resulting in inter-channel interference in high speed environment. Firstly, this paper develops the mathematical formulae describing the interference on resource block (RB) which is the smallest resource unit in LTE networks. Then a QoS-aware resource allocation algorithm with minimum rate requirement of each user is used to investigate the influence of Doppler shift. Finally, simulation results demonstrate that the resource allocation algorithm with speed consideration has better performance in average throughput and spectral efficiency.
