A novel fast low-cost liquid surface tension measuring method combining contact angle with capillary phenomenon, through the common image processing software to analyze and process experimental data was proposed in this paper. What's more, a fast accurate low-cost measurement of contact angle utilizing the length method and the common image processing software was adopted. A rapid simple low cost measurement of liquid viscosity through a simple capillary viscosity measuring device was presented. Moreover, elaborations of those relevant measurement principles were represented. The whole methods' accuracy and feasibility were verified by the comparisons and analyses of the experimental data.
