The consumption of energy in wireless sensor network is an important criterion. The sensor nodes play an important role in wireless sensor networks. The sensor nodes communicate with other nodes within the short distance via wireless medium. The sensor nodes are placed in the static places or Region of Interest (ROI). The sensor nodes are used to sense the desired physical parameters and they send the sensed data to the sink. The sink does the other related works. The sink relocation approach is proposed with respect to energy consumption, which can be done based on the hot spot detection and detecting the malicious node for removing it. This paper concentrates the monitoring of the residual battery energy of the sensor for hotspot detection. This paper combines the features of sink relocation mechanism and the detection of malicious node. The malicious node is created due to the packet drops in transmission which is also informed to all other nodes in that range to beware all the nodes to avoid the communication with it.
