Available well-defined radiation conditions that can meet international standards are essential for medical device testing environment. The establishment of x-ray beam quality in radiology was recommended by IEC 61267. We have measured the half value layer (HVL) of RQR and RQA series beam qualities for use dictated by IEC standard. The ripple of the x-ray output and uncertainty were less than 10% and 1.5%. The half-value layer and homogeneity coefficient measurement differences between INER and IEC 61267 standard were also less than 5%. Also, it was noted that x-ray spectrum produced by XCOMP5 program and empirical methods could be used to calculate HVL and average energy. The compliance with IEC 61267 standard in radiology have been established and these standards provided radiation dose calibration, testing and dose traceability.
