Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is an automatic identification and data capture technology, and uses tiny and low cost RFID tags. The large scale deployment of RFID systems in practical applications require balancing between the cost constraints of RFID tag and the security, privacy and integrity needs of the application. This work proposes server centric connectivity mechanisms for product identification in supply chain management using RFID network. Multiple Id (MI) is extended using start, peer to peer and mesh topologies to extend the availability of information. In this approach the cost of tag is reduced drastically by eliminating the computational complexities from the RFID tags and shifting the security burden on the data processing server. Attack protection analysis and intruder detection process shows that the proposed mechanisms are protected from authentication attacks. Further, transmission of authenticated packets to construct a secure environment is possible with maximum delay of 428 msec. in a large scale network.
