Generally, Power systems currently undergo considerable changes in operating requirements mostly as a part of deregulation and also an increasing amount of distributed energy resources (DER). This paper proposes a new concept i.e. power-control strategies for a micro grid generation system for better transferring of power. This Micro grid system allows maximum utilization of freely available renewable energy sources like wind and photovoltaic energies. This paper proposes a single stage converter based micro grid to reduce the number of converters in an individual ac or dc grid. The proposed concept can operate in both grid-tied and autonomous mode. The coordination control algorithms are proposed for smooth power transfer between system to load and for stable system operation under various generation and load conditions and the output voltage contains harmonics. This distortions can be eliminated by using control strategies and hybrid filters such as both the series and shunt converters. A conventional Proportional Integral (PI) and Fuzzy Logic Controllers are used for power quality enhancement by reducing the distortions in the output power. The simulation results were compared among the two control strategies. With fuzzy logic controller and pi controller.
