An image rejection complex band-pass filter based on gm-cells is presented and optimized for configurability and high linearity. The bandwidth can be tuned digitally to accommodate process variations and different transmission standards from 0.26MHz to 3.8MHz with a maximum tuning resolution of 50 kHz/LSB. The maximum IP1dB is 1.2Vpp. The proposed filter is suitable for the baseband section of radio receiver standards, for example digital audio broadcasting (DAB) and Bluetooth receivers. It is implemented in a 180-nm CMOS technology and occupies a total area of 1mm2.
