This paper presents the outage probability and outage capacity analysis of cooperative orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system with subcarrier mapping (SCM) in Rayleigh fading. The capacity-maximization SCM scheme is analyzed and closed-form expressions are derived for the outage probability and outage capacity of the system by considering fixed gain amplify-and-forward relay node in a dualhop cooperative OFDM network. The first and second moments of end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and capacity are derived while approximating the probability distribution function (PDF) of total capacity of each subcarrier by Gaussian distribution. The simulation results validate the analysis in Rayleigh fading channel.
