The ever-growing complexity of automotive software is becoming the bottleneck of cars' innovation. AUTOSAR, as a worldwide accepted solution, provides a novel methodology to support component-based application design and distributed computation. Acting as the infrastructure to put this into action, Run-Time Environment (RTE) is required to deal with various scheduling and communication demands. One essential function of RTE, Client/Server (C/S) communication module, is designed and presented in this paper. Under the embedded circumstances, the confronting issues like self-adaption, synchronization, concurrent-safety and time protection are firstly analyzed and solved by a series of algorithms and techniques. The experimental results on the application scenario illustrate the validity of developed C/S communication module. In conclusion, C/S communication pattern can efficiently decouple the legacy system from the largely used method invocations, therefore the componentization will be more feasible.
