Combined with intrinsic motivation, self-monitoring theories, we proposed a model to explore the relationship between supervisor developmental feedback and employee creativity. We assume that supervisor developmental feedback has positive effect on employee creativity and then we take individual factor employee self-monitoring into consideration to explain why different studies have yielded different outcomes on the relationship between feedback and creativity. We proposed that employee self-monitoring will moderate the positive relationship between supervisor developmental feedback and employee creativity, such that the relationship is stronger for high self-monitors than it is for low self-monitors. Implications and limitations were discussed in the end.
