The small spot size of a laser beam with the high energy density above enabled us to prepare an isotropic nanocomposite thick-film magnet with a high remanence value. In the as-deposited films, the structure of amorphous phase includes grains by taking advantage of the emitting process of Fe and Nd atoms from an Nd-Fe-B target. Through a rapid annealing process, nanocomposite thick-films with Nd-Fe-B and phases could be obtained. As a result, we succeeded in preparing a -thick-film magnet with remanence, coercivity and values of approximately 1.0 T, 400 kA/m and , respectively, indicating a promising material usable for a miniaturized cylindrical motor.
