The expansion of renewable energies leads to the use of more and more power converters to increase efficiency in generation, distribution and conversion of electrical power. To increase efficiency of power electronic devices their switching times have to be as short as possible. For high power applications this is combined with high voltages and currents and induces a wide frequency range with high amplitudes, i.e. EMC problems could arise. This paper will give a brief summary of the different parameters influencing the generated spectra, introduce a measurement setup and conclude with the discussion of some measurement results.
