Resource constraint and random mobility are two main factors affecting system performance in mobile sensor networks, which cause many difficulties on system designing. In this paper, an adaptive-coded-modulation scheme is introduced to optimize the limited system resource. On the basis of the optimal scheme, a delay calculating algorithm is proposed to acquire the delay bounds of mobile sensor networks. A dynamic clustering algorithm Based on residual energy rate is also presented which makes the whole system adapt to the random mobility of sensor nodes. The residual energy of sensor nodes and average residual energy of system are considered in the residual energy rate, which can effectively avoid the nodes with low residual energy being selected as cluster heads. The NS2 software is used to simulate the optimal design and the simulation results verify the validity of the new scheme.
