A novel double-input contactless resonant converter (DICRC) for the grid & renewable energy wireless power transmission (WPT) system is proposed in this paper. Considering the power-flow requirement, fundamental components in phase modulation is adopted for DICRC. By defining switching functions, the characteristics analysis of the converter is performed along with the unified expressions. In particular, DC input equivalent resistance Rin is defined to depict input power. Since Rin is sensitive to operation frequency ƒs for contactless resonant converter, ƒs is introduced into the control system, a hybrid regulator is designed according to the analysis and a novel double-hybrid power management strategy is proposed. Experimental results on 1.8kW prototype are presented to evaluate theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the control strategy.
