This study provides brief information about the total learning experience (TLE) of engineering students, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. A sample from 34 respondents who were actively taking their courses of study for their third semester was analyzed. Data from questionnaire of a five-point Likert scale was measured using Rasch model measurement, for the application in the field of students' profile, interests and satisfaction measurement. Highlighted by Item Response Theory, this model permits testing on the hypothesis of the statements which will reflect students' attitude or trait. The principle output of this study indicated classification of the students' perceptions based on preference of items being asked. It is believed that the present study could contribute for the improvement of teaching and learning process for the near future.
