More and more wind and solar generations are integrated into power grid, especially wind generators, which will bring challenges to the conventional stability control system. The corresponding measures including FACTS, LVRT, Energy Storage and Power Prediction technologies are discussed to deal with those challenges. The application of these technologies can improve the controllability of wind power, and can be better carried out through the Stability Control System (SCS). A framework of SCS is summarized to adapt to the situation of high level penetration of intermittent generation. Finally, a new system named WPSCS-1000 is introduced, which was developed by SGEPRI and has been applied in Gansu Power Grid of China.
