The electric drive system is an important part of the electric armored vehicle, whose performance was closed related to fast maneuverability. There are some characteristics are requested such as fast start-up, wide speed regulation, favorable regenerative braking capability, high reliability and so on. In this work, an electric drive system with switched reluctance motor (SRM) has been built. The nonlinear model has been established and verified with the analysis of relationship between the flux-linkage, torque, current and rotor position. Based on this, the fuzzy controller of speed feedback was designed and simulated based on virtual prototype simulation platform. The simulation result indicated that the system gave favorable dynamic and static performances. An efficiency method is provided for improving the performance of electric drive system.
