Small-world P2P media streaming network model organizes and manages nodes by forming clusters. When a lot of nodes fail at the same time, the model has better fault tolerance. This paper studies BEAM(Bit strEAMing), a small-world P2P media streaming model, and improves it. A new model SWFTM(Small-World Fault-Tolerant Model) is also proposed in the paper. Different from BEAM, SWFTM has some new features: 1) One node only joins one cluster. 2) Establishing inner cluster links by super node. 3) Checking service nodes' failure only. The simulation experiments show that SWFTM performs better than BEAM in terms of fault-tolerant.
