Healthcare is a critical social issue in Bangladesh, especially in rural areas or regional towns where medical expertise and infrastructure are not adequate. As a promising approach to address this issue, telemedicine has received much attention in the last few years. A number of such systems have been introduced in Bangladesh; however, reported failed due to an ineffective technological support and unreliable treatment system. To address these issues, this paper proposes a new telemedicine framework model for Bangladesh considering both technological aspects and reliability issues. The proposed model will enhance the application of telemedicine that improve the specialized healthcare access to the people living in the rural areas. Implementation of this model is expected to bring the national and international benefits both economically and socially.
