Based on the governing equation of seepage, we investigates the influence of consolidation stress on unsaturated seepage in soil slope, considering the relationships among stress and strain, saturated permeability coefficient and soil porosity, and combining the consolidation stress and Soil-water characteristic curve, put forward a numerical method which couples the unsaturated seepage and stress field in soil. For this method, we writes relative finite element model programs, and compare with the calculating case (ACADS, 2008) to reveal the difference in stress field and seepage field in soil between the situation of coupling and uncoupling. The result shows that the consolidation stress will effect the distribution of seepage field, and method proposed in this paper conforms to reality better.
