In this paper, a passive source localization technique for estimating the range and bearing of near field sources is proposed. The algorithm utilizes spatial time-frequency matrices and ESPRIT method to estimate parameters of the near-field sources. It is shown that the high estimation performance for the range and bearing of near-field sources are achieved by the proposed method (time-frequency ESPRIT) even when the signal-to-noise ration is low or sources are close in space. The new algorithm also doesn't need an additional parameters pairing procedure when all sources don't share the same time-frequency signatures.
