A single identification model can not guarantee the reliability of the real target recognition in theory, which makes the adaptability can not meet the needs of multi-tasking in the electro-optical imaging identification and tracking system. There is the limitation that single-DSP + FPGA can only realize a relatively simple single-mode image-processing software. The paper combined with targets real-time detection and tracking needs and presented multi-mode image-processing software system in a multi-DSP+FPGA parallel image processor platform. In the implementation, resource and capability of a multi-DSP and FPGA were taken advantage of and achieve a reasonable distribution of functional modules in a multi-mode image processing system. In order to better upgrades and maintenance, and reliable real-time interaction, DSP and FPGA subsystems were added USB, UART, PS/2 and VGA interfaces and so on.
