This paper presents a dynamic scheduling system for promotion management in narrowcasting networks. We focus on the quick service restaurants and retail settings, in which effective inventory management is crucial in terms of reducing operational costs. The newly emerged narrowcasting technology enables the integration of promotion and inventory management activities in a real time manner. This integration has the potential of serving as an effective dynamic demand management tool, which will considerably enhance supply chain efficiency. Automated advertisement scheduling is one of the most important activities required by the integration of promotion and inventory management. After defining and analyzing the promotion scheduling problem, we model it as a mixed integer programming. To accommodate the requests for changes to the promotion schedules caused by unexpected dynamic events, we also present a dynamic scheduling system model based on complete rescheduling.
