In this paper a scan-phase diversity system is shown, which is able to improve the reception quality considerably also in cases where the physical channel provides a very low SNR. This is performed via suppression of noise influence in the level-detection of the diversity system on base of a-priori knowledge. Using this kind of calibration the reduction of mute duration is improved from a factor of 2.7 to a factor of 6.65 compared to the best single antenna in a scenario with an average SNR of about -3dB.
