In this paper, we present a concept of combining the Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) data with additional information from the receiving antenna properties. This additional information can be acquired for example, if closely spaced directional receiving antennas connected to the cross-correlation receiver are utilized. An Angle of Arrival (AOA) estimation is done using two very closely spaced receiving antennas. This estimated AOA and the additional information can be used for range estimation. Thus a novel two dimensional positioning algorithm is introduced.
