As the biggest fireworks production base in the world, Liuyang fireworks has given birth to enormous impact to Chinese, and even to the global fireworks industry. This paper focused on the international competitiveness of Hunan Liuyang fireworks. Firstly, we evaluated its competitiveness in achievement from the export position of Liuyang fireworks in the world and in China, and found that Liuyang fireworks had strong international competitiveness. Then, its competitiveness in strength was analyzed from the angle of view of brand and technology, and the conclusion was that the international competitiveness of Liuyang firework in strength was strong, but it was also confronted with some threats. Further, we discussed its competitiveness in potential based on the diamond model of Michael Porter, and thought that Liuyang fireworks had evident competitive potential in industrial Culture, production factors, demand conditions and policies. At last, this paper provided some methods to boost the export of Liuyang fireworks.
