Due to the fact that tension system can be affected by many factors and its structures are complex, as well as its deep coupling, nonlinearity, time-variability, and indeterminacy of its parameters, there are still many problems on its basic theoretic, measuring and controlling technology to be solved. On the basis of inferred the system mathematic model and time-variant parameters radius, adopt line speed control (inner closed loop) and floating pulley block's position feedback control (outer closed loop), the line speed feedback around time-variant parameters D2, weaken the influence to the whole system when it changes. Considering the variation of the paying-off winding-diameter, a control strategy based on fuzzy multiple models was presented, and a multiple models controller using fuzzy winding-diameter switching regulation was designed. The simulation results show that the expected control performances are achieved.
