In order to enhance the performance of concurrent access, this paper presents a new design pattern named merged request pattern. Firstly, the algorithm of merged request pattern is advanced. The roles difference of ldquoproducer and consumerrdquo model is applied in concurrent access, which will make the response time of system abbreviated significantly. Secondly, integrated with traditional ldquotemplate patternrdquo, the merged request pattern is applied in popular OO languages to be encapsulated as a reusable module which is practical and extensible. Finally, based on queuing theory, the performance of the pattern is tested and analyzed. The result shows, along with the number of requests increases obviously, the average response time is shorten significantly. In programming scenarios that all its restrictions can be hold, applying this pattern in programming and refactoring can enhance the performance of concurrent access absolutely without sacrificing the integration and the validity of the results.
