This paper presents the design of digitally-controlled speed drive invariant to arbitrary class of torque disturbances. For the rejection of torque disturbance effects on the steady-state value of motor speed, the IMPACT (internal model principle and control together) regulation structure is applied, while the output drive torque is produced by using the indirect field oriented control (IFOC) of induction motor. The results of analytical design are verified by simulation and by experimental measurements on induction motor drive test setup.
