The kinematics accuracy of a mechanism is one of the key issues in the design of high speed press. In this study, a universal accuracy analytical model of planar linkage mechanism is established based on matrix analysis, and the calculation model for kinematic accuracy reliability index of linkage mechanisms is built in terms of the state function of reliability. Aiming at highspeed press mechanism, two models of slider-crank mechanisms are developed, i.e., the model of kinematics output accuracy and that of reliability analysis and calculation. A case analysis shows that, in given design accuracy, the high-speed press mechanism has different kinematic error or kinematic reliability in different motion states. The models proposed in the paper can give mechanism's failure probability quantitatively in different motion conditions, which surely means a lot to the design and manufacturing of mechanisms.
