This study presents a speed control design for switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive powered by Fuzzy Variable Structure Control (FVSC) system. The working principle of SRM equipment is that reluctance minimization. The whole control mechanism consists of switching function and VSC law. The design of fuzzy control laws proposed guarantee the group of buffeting is minimized. This controller is going to be applied to speed control of SRM equipment. Finally, simulation results and comparisons between PID and VSC reliable designs are presented to illustrate the merits of the proposed scheme. Although the proposed design is a stage of simulation, it may provide a guideline for active design in the industrial production.
