This article introduces the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and geographic information systems (GIS) into the traditional green space system planning. It takes the unique advantages of the multi-factor decision-making while combining the qualitative and quantitative analysis of AHP, combines with the strong spatial analysis functions of GIS, and brings a new attempt to the traditional method of green space planning system. In the green space planning system of Changzhou city, we selected 10 factors, established a weight table of these 10 factors; adopted the analysis of overlay topology of space of the geographic information system, space buffer zone analysis, space network analysis, and other functions. Thus, we made a distributing map of the ecologically sensitive area and green space distribution of Changzhou city, which provided us a scientific basis of green space planning system for Changzhou city.
