A new type of direct drive motor for the scroll type of compressor is studied analytically. The first model with 2-pole stator and 4-pole orbiter, which is corresponding to the rotor in a usual motor, and the second model with 4-pole stator and 2-pole orbiter is presented. The analysis is done by using two-dimensional finite element method. The motor has the driving force to compress the gas and normal force to enclose the gas, and does not have the torque. The computed results prove that the proposed motor is able to use for scroll compressor drive motor.
