Z-Source inverters have recently been proposed as new power conversion concept as they have both voltage buck and boost features. A unique impedance network between the power source and converter circuit provides both voltage buck and boost properties, which cannot be achieved with conventional voltage-source and current-source inverters. This paper presents a neural network control system that control Z-source inverter output in the form of wide-range. The peak ac output voltage is able to be control from 93~311 V. Neural controller provides Kp and Ki parameters for PI controller in this inverter in order to wide-range control. The harmonic of output voltage can be reduced and the precise of output voltage can be increased by using neural controller and the new method of modulation.
