This paper proposes a new digital RF predistortion scheme for high-power amplifiers (HPAs), which can completely meet the requirements of precision and bandwidth (BW) in modern shortwave communications systems and does not use nonlinear active RF devices. Simultaneously it realizes multichannel broadband digital predistortion and all-digitalization for actuator. Simulation results show that the proposed predistortion scheme is very effective in reducing the nonlinear distortion of HPAs, allowing small output backoff as low as 4.2 dB.
