The torque ripple is a major problem of switched reluctance motor drive system, which can cause undesirable acoustic noise and vibration. A novel method of torque closed-loop and fuzzy compensation control for the switched reluctance motor drive system based on finite element model is described in this paper. Under a switched reluctance motor drive system simulation environment, the geometry structure, electromagnetic parameters, outside drive circuit and control circuit are simulated and studied as a whole to analyze the nonlinear characteristics and dynamic characteristic of the motor. With a proposed control idea, the compensating signal is added to the phase current, the current shape can vary with the fuzzy control ruler to minimize the torque ripple. In the end, simulation results verify the effects of the proposed fuzzy compensation control technique.
